FOLLOWING MANY REQUESTS and enquiries that came after I announced that I hold a considerable number of the private notebooks of the late Jack Avis, one of the great card and close-up workers, it has been suggested that I release some of the better material to the magic world.

All his life he made detailed notes on things that he had seen, exchanged with other magicians of the day,  ideas that he’d developed into personal routines and many original items of card and close-up magic that have never been released.

Some idea of the quality of his work can be found in his last published book Rara Avis, some items of which were extracted from his notebooks, but there still remains a wealth of good magic which unless made available to the magic world will probably be lost once I am gone.

I have therefore been persuaded to make some of these routines available at some time in the future and further announcements will be made in this blog. Watch this space.
