I UNDERSTAND THAT ONE OF MY FAVOURITE MAGICIANS, JEFF HOBSON will be lecturing at the forthcoming convention at Eastbourne on….The Egg Bag.Some of you will have seen my recent blog on Egg Bags and my recent revival of interest after fifty years so I look forward to this feature. Obviously it’s to help him sell some of his egg bags on the market – very good but at an eye watering $150.00…..! Nevertheless see his personal performance with this traditional item (no doubt he’ll do it in his stage act and I guarantee you’ll be thoroughly entertained. Presented with his camp patter and gestures there is no one who could perform this classic the same way unless you do an impersonation of Jeff Hobson. It’s entirely individual, which is as it should be, and speaks volumes for finding your own stage persona and using it to present your magic.

The Egg Bag moves he’ll probably show are based on the Malini bag, the same as I’ve seen Johnny Thompson perform, but for a lesson in sheer entertainment, catch the Hobson presentation.
